Points Series & Payouts
Traverse Area Singles is a cumulative season-long points series.
Players earn points each week:
- 1 point for weekly participation
- 1 point for each player beat within their division that week
Points do not transfer between divisions. This is important to consider if you are planning to change divisions or if your PDGA rating affects your eligibility.
Points payouts are awarded to the top 10% of each division and issued as Aloft store credit.
Note: This league uses season-long points payouts. The ace pool is the only potential cash payout and is only paid if an ace is hit.
Ace Pool
Optional: $5 per week
The ace pool is capped at $400 and pays out 75%. The remaining 25% rolls over to the following week.
Any remaining ace pool funds after the season will be donated to the Up North Disc Golf Association for local disc golf development, course improvements, and community initiatives.
Snow Play
Snow play rules are only in effect when snow or ice are present.
- Players may use ribbons or other devices to assist in finding discs
- If a tee area is deemed unsafe, players may tee off next to or behind the tee
Entry Fee Breakdown
- $2 per player per week is allocated to the league points series payout pool within each division.
- $3 toward league operations
- $5 from drop-in entries supports local disc golf development, course improvements, and community initiatives
Tax Information
If your annual cash earnings from leagues and tournaments organized by Aloft Disc Golf exceed $600, you will need to complete a W-9. A 1099 will be issued at the end of the year.
